Erie County Sheriffs new digital channel

Not sure what the new channel is, but i herd ECSO dispatch advising a car to switch over to ECSO Digital 1 for testing. I herd rumors before that they were going P25, but nothing confirmed yet.

There has been talk of a new system for many years. The current channel is getting really bad.

If you look at the license, KEB501 (ERIE, COUNTY OF) FCC Callsign Details , the following freqs all have p25 Emission Designators in addition to 16K0F3E ,
20K0F1D , 20K0F1E and 20K0F3E. Listen to them in digital mode and you might catch something..

Who are you asking? I am on Long Island and can not scan those freqs. I also cant confirm any activity. Merely suggesting that someone scan those in digital and see what happens...

460.075 Nac F86 Ch.1 Digital

As a quick check, try listening to all of their current UHF channels (which are the ones listed above with the P25 emission designator added) with carrier squelch. IOW, turn off the PL on your scanner. If you hear digital buzzing on any of them, then they have switched over at least part time.

460.075 is the only P25 channel they have aside from ESU4

Is that 424.150? I was hearing a lot of testing on the regular 460.450 channel last week from radio repair

Yes ESU4 is 424.150

They have been having problems on all the County UHF channels because of the recent band openings.

Stumbled across it the other day while playing with my SDR! I submitted it to the database the other day. Definatly up and running right now

Thanks for the frequency, just listening to 460.075 NAC F86 and it's coming in clear and strong in Fort Erie ON.

yes ,the current uhf analog system , having trouble , I am also monitoring the p25 system , on freq. listed , and correct nac. I remember when Buffalo PD , switched over , they had problems . I am receiving ,but voice somewhat distorted , but readable same as Buffalo PD , when started. The all the current radios are still are on analog , but are capable of analog / digital conversion. when time comes to switch.

Clear Audio in Canada ?, But very broken Audio in Erie County.

on p-25 , phase 1 , audio very brokened , very interesting why i would be Clear in Canada?

Just looking at the license for it, the P25 channel is only licensed for 6 towers to cover the county... The analog one is potentially coming off of 12.... And it appears it's coming off City Hall too, possibly to explain why Canada can get it better than I can
