I have only had the car for a few days and finally got the nerve up to put the antenna on. Pictured is a Motorola 800Mhz antenna. I switch back and for with that one and a Larsen NMO 150/450/800.

I just have my Pro668 in there now, but I think I can fit a WS-1095 remote head just above the center console.

Nice. I have used NMO trunk lip mounts for years and they do well.
Thank you for sharing the pictures.

Very nice car and setup! I had a 1979 Dodge Challenger (shown below from the sales brochure but exact color combo as mine). I put trunk lip antennas on both sides. They were Hustler brand 146 MHz (Ham) and 27 MHz (CB). I also put an 800 MHz trunk lip antenna in the middle of the trunk for my Uniden Bearcat 800XLT scanner. People said my car looked like either a porcupine or a car from Mars. I wish I could find photos of my setup; both inside and outside. I'm including the sales brochure picture so your readers can compare a 1979 Dodge Challenger to your new 2015 Dodge Challenger; 36 years later. I like the 2015 Dodge Challenger styling more... 73, Dave K4EET

So the Pro668 wasn't really working out, for a variety of reasons. For one thing I really missed the GPS I had hooked up to my 536. This is the best solution I could come up with.

Be sure to remove that antenna occasionally, and wax the area under it. Moisture gets trapped under those and will blur/fade the paint. Also beware under the lip where the set screws break the paint, and will cause corrosion.

3 months later and I still haven't come up with a permanent install. This is my latest prototype with my HP-1.

The 536 performs the best, however I ran into a few issues. My passengers all complained of the radio jabbing them in their side, plus the scanner made it difficult for them to get the seat belt latched. For me, I like having the scanner somewhat in my line of site, and the angle the radio sat it, made it difficult for me to see.

So this is the completed bracket. Essentially brackets I found at home depot. The thin metal slats (doubled up to make them more firm) slide in between the center console and the dash. I used a dremel and cut off all the excess metal and filed down all the sharp edges with a grinding stone.

I just got done spray painting them and will post another pic tomorrow after it dries.

Finally completed the install. I replaced the HP-1 with a HP-2 and tucked the wires out of the way. I didn't think I would be happy with the audio from the crappy HP speaker, but it really isn't too bad. I was able to position the scanner so that access to any of my controls are impeded.
