Quite a few of the popular plugins have been updated for all of the changes from 1379 through 1400 ;

I'm having a problem with 1400 and the Russian frequency scanner plugin. It pops a box saying it can't find the Arial font then crashes.

I tried reinstalling all the plugins. It then locked up and now says The source 'SDRSharp.AirSpy.AirSpyIO' is not ready. Moving USB ports and reboots don't help. I'm locked out of it totally.

Try reinstalling SDR#, then try running the Airspy with just that. After confirming that works, move on to reinstalling the plugins (one at a time, then confirm they work).

You do have .NET 4.6 installed, don't you?

I tried again with a totally new unmodded version of SDR# and now it can access the Airspy. However, the frequency scanner plugin still causes the Arial font error.

I am running Windows 10 so .NET should already be there.

Have you tried 1400 with the frequency scanner plugin? Is it working for you?

"should" is not very comforting. :D

But, if SDR# 1400 is working, then it must be there.

If you know the font name, maybe try DLing a copy of the font file to your PC.

Or change the Arial font to something else. (if you can)

It sounds like there is an issue with your font file. (or the plugin)

It just says it's the Arial font that can not be found. I have never had to download a font. I guess I will try to figure that out.

I just (re)installed the Fast Scanner, as I didn't have it in r1400 yet, and it's working fine. Also maybe google "Arial font can not be found" and see what it yields.

I haven't used that scanner for a while, and thank you as trying it has renewed my appreciation of it. How do I squelch the receiver between hits, though?

EDIT: Disregard the squelch question. I never reset it in the radio config since installing 1400. I had only used it on broadcast FM so far.

The squelch override settings are in the scanner settings in the plugin window.

Thanks for checking it out and confirming it's on my end and not the plugin. I'm now at a loss as to what to do to fix it. I see Arial in the large list of fonts, actually several versions. I don't know what it could want.

Are you using windows 10?

No - Windows 7. I'm not brave enough to risk Win10 yet.

Try finding the font file(s) via Google (make sure the source is reliable) and copy it over the one you have. It might be dingged. If you have several Arial fonts, maybe replace them all?

I wonder if it would be best to split this part of the thread into a separate one. I asked the mods if they can do that.

Anytime. Not sure I understand the solution, but glad you found it. I'm sure I never specifically installed that package myself.

Me either. I think the plugin must have been built with that European font package and for whatever reason my PC didn't have it so the application crashed.

By the time I saw that, they had 1408 out...so I took a chance. Oops. Abends upon opening with this in the Windows Application Log:

Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\KERNELBASE.dll
Report Id: ce8e64e6-6f97-11e5-8ad6-001cc0fe5585

Edit: Used the .NET Installer Cleanup Tool, reinstalled .NET 4.6, did a fresh install of SDR#. Now I get this also:

Application: SDRSharp.exe

Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
Exception Info: System.IO.FileNotFoundException
