So basically I am not receiving Folsom PD. I am using windows 97 for software and I have a Radioshack Pro-164. What I am doing is web importing the SRRCS Folsom area control and alternate frequencies and then selecting folsom pd talkgroups. I am also selecting 800mhz rebanded. Can anyone help? I can get Sac Sheriff fine, just not folsom.

Try downloading just the county site, and not just the folsom site.

Like KMA said, download Site 002 (Countywide Site). I believe Site 003 (Folsom Area) basically only works in downtown Folsom.

Try downloading just the county site, and not just the folsom site.

So should I download all of the county sites(4 freq) or just the primary control frequencies for county and Folsom area(2 freq). I was told that you can only have 4 frequencies in each bank and no more when you program your scanner.

The key steps to programming in WIN97 are:
Pick a bank you want to use for SRRCS (bank 0?)
In that bank program in the control channel frequencies (4 max)
Set the mode of that bank to "trunked"
In that bank select custom band-plan of "rebanded 800MHz MOT"
If you set the bank to "open", you can scan it and will hear everything.
To control what you hear, set the bank to "closed", and program desired TalkGroups.
TalkGroups use a code such as 53200 (that's Metro Fire A1)
Optionally program alpha tags for each TG you program

Folsom PD

What I am saying in that quote is there are no more than 4 control channel frequencies assigned for a given MOT site. The scanner bank can hold 100 frequencies.

Personally I have not received much from the Folsom site. Unless you are right there near Sutter Street or Lake Natoma Inn, I wouldn't bother trying to include it. But do make sure to program site 2, the county site.
