I am using a Pro 197 to scan the Mississippi MSWIN P25 system. I currently have all talk groups form the RR database programmed. If I want to look for new talkgroups that are not in the RR system do I have to use a wildcard in my talkgroups?

That is the only one I'm not familiar with. However, I would think that it would be done the same as other talk groups. Instead of a number, select or enter wildcard.

Give it a try. As I mentioned, I have no experience with ARC software. I have PSR Edit and have tried Win 500. Perhaps someone here that has experience with ARC will chime in.

If you create a new talkgroup using the key pad on the scanner, it will be a wildcard. Once it is created, you need to select the correct system.

The person who owns ProgramPro197(dot)com was able to help me with mine.

It is just an asterisk.
