While the world is taking off with this digital technology,
we here in Maine still have an 800 mhz analog power company.

Statewide.
Question is; can the radio suppliers shove Nexedge or trbo into the main communications?
do a -switch-?
And IF my power Co, said yes,
would they raise their rates to cover this?

We just did a 50 million dollar p25 PHASE 1 upgrade to the State comm's.
So, I am guessing the power co, would be about the same price...
THAT'S alot to recover from.
was just wonderring, that's all

not sure what you mean by 'can the radio suppliers shove Nexedge or trbo into the main communications?'

Communications companies will 'suggest' a system that they believe will meet the needs of the client.

I doubt that they could justify a rate increase based on buying a communications system alone, rather they would use other rate affecting factors to justify any rate increase. Where I live a power company would never get a rate increase to cover a radio system.

Excellent answer,
thank you sir..
See--i know trains are doing digital,
just wonderring if it would be OFFERED to them.
I know that when the right person talks;
he can sell water to an eskimo.. per say..
We are running out of analog entities around here,
just wanted to make sure C.M.P is not 1 of them.
Thank you again
