Can we get DMR now?

Now that we know it's possible to add a new digital mode via software upgrade in the BCD 436 XT, can we now finally get DMR implemented? There's so much more DMR activity then there is ProVoice. Hopefully we can get this happening within the next month.

Pretty sure Upman already commented that DMR requires licensing fees. Not sure that is a road they want to go down atm.

There are threads galore about this, why do people keep starting new ones? DEFINITELY not going to happen within a month. As stated in the previous post and at least 100 times in the many other threads, adding the modes is not necessarily the issue. The money and negotiations involved with licensing the product is.

Anyone wanting to listen to DMR can simply buy a DMR radio.

Especially the TYT MD-380... it's a great price and comes with everything you need to get started. Software and firmware is free.
