P25

It gets worse. In my little town of Marana Az not only did they switch they encrypted it so even with the high cost scanner you still cant get it. Its bull**** you should be ale to listen to your public services that you pay for and carry guns!

Thanks, Joe.

VHF makes sense in this part of the world. Every other agency around them is on VHF, some DMR - but VHF nonetheless.

I live near Crisp County and will report to the group if/when the control channel(s) go active.

So what system is Crisp County using???

The new VHF system discussed in this thread previously?

The 800Mhz Crisp County system:
Crisp County Trunking System, Cordele, Georgia - Scanner Frequencies

or the 800Mhz Southwest Georgia system:
Southwest Georgia Regional Radio System Trunking System, Albany, Georgia - Scanner Frequencies

The reason for asking the 800Mhz system question is that both the Crisp County and Southwest Georgia systems list the SAME FREQUENCIES in the database... just trying to make sure it is correct.

Thanks in advance

Crisp is still on the 800MHz system and they are part of the SOWEGA system. The VHF has had no activity, to my knowledge. Their traffic continues to be analog on the SOWEGA system. I mapped out the SOWEGA system with UniTrunker and travel to each site.

So which system is Crisp County actually using ?

System ID 6E28 (listed as Crisp County in the database) or System ID BC30 (listed as the Cordele site of the Southwest Georgia system in the database) ?

The only reason I ask is that the Crisp County sites for BOTH of those systems list the same control channels.

6E28 Listing
860.23750
859.23750
858.23750
857.33750d
856.78750a
856.31250a
855.46250a
854.96250
853.52500a

BC30 Listing
857.3375d
856.7875a
856.3125a
855.46250
854.96250

Trying to confirm there are two truly separate systems as currently listed in the database and/or if one of those sites is incorrectly listed.

Thanks in advance.

I don't have my UniTrunker notes with me, as I am away from home, but they are the BC30 system with cc857.3375. I will confirm when back home this weekend.

Thanks for the updated information for the Southwest Georgia system (SWGA).

Now, a follow-up question...
- Is the 6E28 system off the air? It shows the same frequencies as the SWGA system.
- Any listing of the Crisp County talkgroups for the SWGA?

Just trying to clear up what is actually being used in Crisp County.

Thanks

No clue on 6E28. If you can look at its history, that could have been originally a standalone system that got incorporated into SOWEGA after upgrades, etc. Dougherty did have an analog system, once, but that's not its sysID.

Copy and paste the talkgroups. All the same.

Crisp County has requested an extention of time for these 2 P25 trunked licenses while they try to figure out what to do with them:

ULS Application - 0007589075 - CRISP COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

ULS Application - 0007589097 - CRISP COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

To whom it may concern,
We have been working on solutions on how to use these frequencies for our communication
needs. During this process we received notification from Pamela Yingling that our construction deadline
was approaching. We reached out to Spectrum License Consultants owned by John Black in Canyon Texas
to file the extension prior to the deadline; we could not reach him. We called the radio vendor, Georgia
Two Way, owned Bartow Williams and discovered that John Black had passed away over a month ago.
In reference to Section 1. 946E and 90.155, we are sorry for any inconvenience but we would like
to continue this application. Thank you
