Big LASO command post set up in San Pedro

Lots of LASO supervisors, fire, armored paramedic vans, SWAT looking guys and people in suits talking with LASO. Command post is at a park just east of Western Ave at Westmont and they say the command post is for a "containment" elsewhere. Have not heard any LASO traffic regarding this yet.

A murder suspect barricaded himself inside a home when a warrant was being served on Van Karajan Drive in RPV. He surrendered after a couple of hours.

Thanks very much for the info. I haven't had time to follow up with monitoring since this morning. Looked like the command post was gearing up for something like what happened in SB last week andI'm surprised it was for just one person.

Probably looked like a bigger deal because there was a second agency from Riverside County also there since it was their caper to begin with

.When LASD becomes involved they won't look to share tactical resources so they will roll enough people to handle it on their own, which is how they prefer to operate. So add at a minimum LASD SEB (Swat), Crisis Negotiation Team, all the brass and detectives from Slowmita station and the Area Commander.
