The link info is wrong, Salt Lake City AC33 did not have to reband, none of their frequencies were above the threshold required to reband. Notice all the freqs are on the old bandplan.

Rescue1978 can you hear any of the data channels? Try programming them conventionally and see if you can copy any of them. If not, you won't hear the system. The transmitter site is on Ensign Peak, not sure if any of it is shadowed to your location in Sunset.

What antenna are you using? I have an 800 MHz beam I would let you have if you want to try it.

Is anyone else up near Sunset hearing AC33?

Did you get it working?

Control channel is 860.9625 and the radio needs to be in "open" mode.

Manual mode - pick a channel - PGM - TRUNK - MODE (MOT) - NORMAL - PGM - enter frequency - ENT - MODE (MOT) - MAN.

Hope this helps.

Greeting,
Now that ya up and bought...
Tell me this, In the frequency, Does the final digit end end in "0" come thru in the "MO" mode....
Answer, In Utah the answer is "NO"
it doesn't or at least in the ones I own...
Best guess/option , Ya have to listen to it in "FM" mode and hear all the rest of the garbage.
