What is the best digital scanner to monitor the new Gloucester County 700mhz trunked system with Project 25 Phase II, and easiest to program by hand?

Probably the Uniden Home Patrol 2, you can program it by zip code and modify the selections to suit your needs. Same with the Uniden BCD436HP. I think the costs are about the same. Check on the uniden thread in the prospective buyer thread for comments on both radios. It is probably like the argument which is best Ford or Chevy.

You can also look at the Uniden BCD325P2 and the 996P2. Both do a good job receiving the system and both are fairly easy to program. I have done several of each recently on systems like Gloucester.

As easy as modern scanners get programming wise. Software makes it much easier though...
