Over the Christmas holiday break I have worked on a new radio carry case, this is my my "daily carry" scanner kit which is:
- Uniden UBC72XLT scanner
- 2 x aerials
- 2 x spare AA rechargeable batteries
- Ear phones

I started off with this case: Tactix Water Resistant Case Large (Tactix Water Resistant Case Large BUN-320072 | Bunnings Warehouse) for $19.98 which I am a big fan of, they are fairly cheap, a good usable size and well built. I added a sheet of foam which I firstly cut to the correct size and then cut out spaces for my radio, batteries and earphones / aerials. I next cut some bubble wrap to the correct size for the top and bottom of the case to provide some protection before mounting this to the case and the foam sheet with some heavy duty tape.

This is a nice secure way to carry your scanner, with out having to worry about damaging your radio. I give it a thumbs up.

Yes +1 on this.
That hard case is a good idea. Great for traveling or needing to put it in a back pack or something.

Thanks for the feedback, most of the time it comes with me in my backpack which I carry for work.
