I recently acquired a new scanner (Uniden BCT15x) and have been monitoring the Lincoln talk groups.

I've downloaded most of the system into my scanner, organized and locked out what I didn't want.

I'm logging some new talk group IDs which are not in the database. i7702 - i7709, i7712, i7522 & 14-073 so far.

Most of these seem to be used by dispatch, almost the same as Tac-2 (14-042).

Has anyone else run into these to verify their descriptions? How do these end up in the database?

I think the Ixxxx are radio ID's? But it's the same audio as a Tac group

I've wondered why it does this. But I leave my radio on scan and not search

The i77xx are radio IDs for stations. 7702=Station 2, 7709=Station 9, 7712=Station 12, etc. I'm not sure what 7522 is. We don't track radio IDs in the DB, but if someone wants to maintain a Wiki page, they can be documented there.

When a Fire/EMS call is dispatched, it is patched. The audio is voiced on talkgroup 14-061, 14-042, and Individual Call (icall) for the station(s) involved.

14-073 is an unknown talkgroup. It is likely EMS related. If anyone can ID, please submit to the DB.

Wow, thanks guys, quick replies and so much information.

I don't get a lot of hits on 14-061, mostly 14-042.

So, to help me understand, when a page goes out, it's hitting 14-061(or 042) AND the station ID for overhead paging? My scanner is just sometimes hitting the 14 first and sometimes the station ID first?

There was a dispatch as I was typing this, it paused on 14-042, I told it to continue scanning and it picked up on Patch 1(00-001), I scanned more and it returned to Patch 1, never to a station ID.

Most scanners will stop on the lowest talkgroup number if patched. You should be able to hold on 14-042 or 14-061 and hear dispatches. Units will transmit and dispatches on 14-042, but only dispatches are on 14-061.

So, some calls come over Patch 1, some over Tac 2, is there a difference? Is it on Patch when multiple stations are being paged or something else?
