New Ridgewood NJ Fire Channel

I hope this goes to the right place. I don't write much. Ridgewood NJ has a new channel. It is Ridgewood/Glen Rock FIRE/EMS 2 154.762 DPL 503. INPUT I believe is 153.972 unknown PL/DPL. It is in the database. But not under the towns. That is all I know.

I heard a radio check once with Glen Rock and Ridgewood Chiefs and Central Dispatch and Ridgewood Tower 36 accidentally talk on channel 2 instead of channel 1. That has been it.

Does anyone know what this second repeater will be used for? There's not an excessive amount of traffic on their existing repeater; why do they need a second one? The population of Glen Rock and Ridgewood combined is just over 37k. Perhaps they plan to split EMS aware from Fire?

Along with Ridgewood and Glen Rock's 4 tac channels that are not used. Also channel 3. The OEM channels.
