Hearing either a control channel or a DMR type channel on 155.955. It is down in the dirt here in southern MO, but the signal varies in intensity, sometimes interfering with communications here.

Anyone aware of someone using either in Arkansas?

This license in Logan County, Arkansas, has DMR emissions designator but it is a little southeast of Fort Smith:
ULS License - Public Safety Pool, Conventional License - KGJ743 - LOGAN, COUNTY OF

The full list of returns after doing a geographical search for all of Arkansas and 155.955 was this, but most are south or showed only analog (2 was deleted because it was Jackson Co and expired/replaced):

Call Sign/Lease ID Name FRN Radio Service Status Expiration Date
1 KGJ743 -- LOGAN, COUNTY OF 0001718345 PW Active 06/17/2023
3 WNMH894 -- HOPE, CITY OF 0001718725 PW Active 06/21/2025
4 WNQI580 -- PLUMERVILLE, CITY OF 0007404635 PW Active 07/25/2022
5 WPFE876 -- CADDO VALLEY, CITY OF 0006418172 PW Active 08/27/2024
6 WPGQ980 -- MITCHEVILLE, CITY OF 0012328324 PW Active 03/01/2025
7 WPVA267 -- JACKSON, COUNTY OF 0006212153 PW Active 06/05/2022
8 WQGA529 -- DEQUEEN, CITY OF WATER DEPARTMENT 0001719038 PW Active 11/28/2016
9 WQIF398 -- NORTH EAST GREENE COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT 0016984908 PW Active 01/23/2018

So...not sure. What part of SO MO? SE or SW? Wondering if it could be coming from TN or OK...

I live very close to Logan County... less than 15 miles from the county line, in fact. I monitor Logan County SO/EMS (slot 2/slot 1) on 158.805 DMR. As to 155.955, it is rural fire dispatch but I have only heard analog transmissions. Just in case, however, I have plugged it into my tapped RS Pro-405 scanner so we'll see if they also have digital usage.

Logan county fire is using dmr on that frequency. They page out on analog and then sometimes switch to dmr. I hear them when I'm down in that area.

Ahhh OK I know why I'm only hearing the analog... the Home Patrol 1 ignores the digital DMR signal because the tone squelch is set. Good to know, I have it in my Pro-405 now. I'll be looking for the CC, slot # and talkgroup info and I will report it when I find it.

Scranton Vol Fire (also in Logan Co) is licensed by the FCC for 154.190 NXDN digital but I haven't heard them. It doesn't appear in the RR database but I won't report it until I hear it and I can confirm it is them.
