Stafford Twp says no to county dispatch

Looks like Stafford will stick to their own dispatching.. All their police comms are encrypted..

Sounds like the politicians still have a thing about "home rule". Once I was on our local borough council and proposal was brought up about a regional planning board being formed. All the old time politicians said they didn't want it because they would have to give up "home rule". But in the same breath they would complain about traffic backups by rampant building in other communities. But enough on the soup box.

I think Haddonfield was 1 of the last smaller towns in Camden County to give in to the County Dispatch for PD and fire/rescue. I think Cherry Hill and Pennsauken still have their own dispatchers for PD. County dispatches Cherry Hill's fire/rescue.

I think Ocean County does all fire dispatch for the entire county. I believe Stafford and Waretown do their own EMS dispatch, everyone else does county dispatch for EMS. Not sure how the PD dispatch works in the whole county. I know Little Egg does their own PD and Tuckerton PD but that's all the PD I typically listen to
