RARSfest is just around the corner!
Saturday April 2nd from 8am-3:30pm.
NC State Fairgrounds: Jim Graham Building

After talking to some of you on Facebook I have decided to make an appearance.
Anyone else from the forums going to be there? If so any desire for a meetup?
How about a simplex frequency that we can use for coordination?
I have access to analog & P25 VHF but not DMR (Yet).

Hope to see some of you there!

Looking forward to it. I haven't been to one in awhile due to work schedules.

Whatever digital mode it ends up being, I should be all set, except for DSTAR.

Enjoyed meeting you last year and conversation over breakfast in the food court..

Still would like to get you on the presenter's list to give a talk at a Durham FM Association Club Meeting...

Free barbeque (or your menu preference) for giving the talk!

regards,
Dan

How about UHF DMR simplex 446.075. Color Code 1, Time Slot 1 for talkaround.

Locally the K4ITL repeater DMR blowtorch is 443.3375 +5. TG1, TS1. The Local talkgroup is 27500.

I'll also have my FT1D on 446.0375 YSF DN 'digital narrow' (so Data is passed among users
on screen such as Call Sign and location). No local YSF repeaters in the Raleigh area.

Heck maybe an XTS-5000 P25 UHF simplex. Have VHF as well. With all those radios on my belt
I'd be easy to spot. Heheheh

446.075MHz is an analog (FM) simplex frequency (http://www.sera.org/pdf-files/SERA 440MHz FUP.pdf). I would suggest 441.0125MHz or another in the 441MHz range.

I also believe that KE4NZR said he doesn't have DMR so that won't work for him.

I'll be watching to see where it ends up frequency wise. The knuckleheads I regularly hang with are on DMR
so that's where I'll be. Bringing YSF as well because that's what I'm personally interested in at the moment.

Have fun at the hamfest!

First time I have been able to make the RARSfest in about 10 years. Have analog / P25 capability but no DMR (yet)

Good Morning everyone!
I should be monitoring 146.520Mhz and 147.570Mhz while at the RARSFest
so if you are still old school like me (no DMR) give me a call and I hope to see
all of you there!
Happy Monitoring!
