Springfield Ohio PD FD

I have a Uniden BCD396XT and want to monitor City of Springfield Trunking System, Springfield, Ohio - If I understand by reading EDACS Provoice WIKI I can't monitor this type of system, and if I'm correct this is the type of system Springfield has?

Yes that's correct. You would need the 436HP with the Provoice upgrade to monitor them.

Yes I have a 436hp and i listen to SPD and SFD all day everyday I love PROVOICE

The 396 will not do the upgrade. You need the 4/536 models to monitor and it is worth it, way more going on than the NewsSun or Channel 7 carry, especially once it gets dark, makes you CARRY everywhere you go anymore!!!

The BCD325P2 can't do it. You would need the 436HP with the Provoice upgrade to monitor them.

To be more specific, at this point in time, only the BCD436HP portable or BCD536HP mobile/base can decode ProVoice. No other models offer such upgrades.

There may be PC SW that can decode it, too, but the above are the only scanners that will decode it.

I have the BCD436HP and I monitor SPD and SFD all day everyday i love my 436 and it is crystal clear i actually think the 436 sounds like their radios also i have a MA/com p5100 sitting on my desk as well
