Wnamp

I can't get Winamp to be recognized as the player on Broadcastify.
When I choose it to play (for alpha tags) the computer defaults to
media player. I have winamp installed and am using windows 7HP.

Any help would be great......

At a minimum .......

If you select Winamp as the player in the Broadcastify drop-down box.

You should be able to right-click on the 'Listen' button for the feed to copy the URL from the Broadcastify window.

Then in WINAMP ......
You can RIGHT click on the PLAY button, and select "OPEN URL".
Paste or type the URL you want to play. (it should end with .m3u)
Then: Click on "OPEN"

It 'should' then start playing the feed.

If that doesn't work, there may be a problem with the WINAMP install.

It might be because they stopped supporting winamp anymore, although it could have been mediaplayer. I remember seeing the notice awhile back, I could be mistaken. :wink: 73, n9zas

It's much nice when you can see the alphas.

Glad to hear it worked for you.

You can also run far more than just one instance of WINAMP and listen to as many scanners as the horsepower of your computer will allow.

I use Winamp all the time even though it is not longer made.

I set the feed play selection to Winamp or Itunes.

When I click on the play button, it will down load a .m3u audio link.

I then click on that link & it opens in Winamp because I have my computer set to open .m3u files to open in Winamp.
