Stevens Point HP1 usage.

I was in Stevens Point overnight last night monitoring with my HP1. Is all of the mobile traffic for the PD and SO encrypted? Kind of a pain in the *** to listen to...

Last time I listened was over a year ago and it seemed like the mobiles had their encryption on but the dispatch wasn't always. Because of that I usually end up hitting lockout. I don't listen to them often, though. Usually only when I'm over near there, which is rarely.

I was in the area briefly and it appears that some SPPD traffic is in the clear.

Thanks for the info. I'll be back down that way in September of this year so I'll have a chance to do a little more monitoring. The good thing about the hotel I was at was from the 3rd floor I could hear all the counties around Portage Co, so there was plenty to listen to.
