I spoke to a fellow ham today, who is also a ISP radio tech about our current infrastructure thruout the state, and we talked about the transition to P2 and he said its not likely to happen anytime soon downstate due to the states finances. He stated we're lucky to have the APX radios we currently do, because the remainder of the state will be stuck using the current Xts radios for some time yet. :). 73, n9zas

I have heard the same from St.Clair Co. and D11 people in the know.
Hope there right.

One thing for sure with this state, you can't count on anything,
And nothing would Surprise me anymore.

As long as the majority of the state doesn't have Apx radios yet we're probably safe for awhile, although according to a map I saw there's more sc21 sites capable of phase 2 than I thought. 73, n9zas
