Has anyone else heard County testing the Robo dispatcher system? Sounds pretty funky!

Siri has a much nicer voice.

Santa Clara County Fire, 154.250

I believe County Fire went live with CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) yesterday, Monday, 5-23-16. It does sounds rather odd after listening to humans for years and years. IMHO this has to do with the new County trunked system SVRCS and eventually everyone going to this new 700 MHz system.

I saw the following text in regards to SVRCS "Purchased and
installing Locution automated voice dispatch system" Probably will be county wide.

County did go officially live with the automated voice thing on 5/23...apparently, they're calling her "Samantha".

Sounds like they have installed the system in their stations now, as I'm not hearing the old DTMF and Quick Call ring downs over the air anymore before the robot voice.

From listening today it appears as though the system has rung down the wrong station on a couple of calls.
Ring down went out then the dispatcher told the station to stand down, then the call was immediately redispatched.

I'd like to hear how it sounds with Darth Vader, Morgan Freeman, or even Samuel L. Jackson...the pronunciations are WAY off on some streets!

Orange County has started using this too. Lots of names to butcher down there.
