Uniden Registration Question

OK, for starters, I purchased this scanner from an fellow member here on rr.com. I decided its time to go ahead and register it with Uniden, to simplify matters with updates etc. On the reg page, it asks for nickname, along with the usual checksum etc. How does one find your scanner's nickname? I tried searching the forums but came up with way to much Whiskey Tango Foxtrot stuff to sort through, so sorry if this is an mentally retreaded topic.

You can name it anything you want or just leave it blank. You might use it if you have several of the same scanner to denote where you keep it but it's not required.

OK, because Uniden has it * which is required field to register. Will leave it blank and see what pops. TY!

Just call it "My Favorite Scanner" and the form will go through.

Or you can call it "George" if you like...

The nickname is something you make up - the scanner is not named from the factory.
