DPS CLE uses the Provoice system as well as vhf 155.505 and 159.090. Just depends on who they are working with or whatever they choose to use for an operation.

Not doubting you, but how can you be sure that this is DPS CID if it's encrypted?

Heard traffic on TG 40056 today. Two units starting with 13xx, running DL's and LP's. Could not listen long enough to get any idea who they were.

I do not see that talk group in the database

It is Live Oak PD ch 1. It is some how patched from the LCRA P25 system. Live Oak PD ch1 is tg 12047 on the LCRA P25 system. 13xx units are Selma PD 20xx units are Live Oak 81xx units are JudsonISDPD.

Thanks!! That will come in handy when I hear them while I am driving around S.A.

Just a note when looking for new talk groups on the system SAPD has 16 encrypted channels they do use from time to time. SWAT when working with other other detective units mainly.The E-1 thru E-16 channels. Also there are a few encrypted "Task force" channels on the system.

Any of this new stuff been submitted to the database?

So if I understand what I read above, there are new talkgroups on the EDACS site and the SAUA sites?? Is San Antonio slowly moving to the SAUA site??

Not at this time, the SAUA P25 TRS is just for interoperability between other agencies, counties and systems such as the LCRA P25 TRS,etc.
With over $188M invested in EDACS Pro-Voice TRS subscriber equipment and infrastructure, not to mention schools and local municipalities
are also heavily invested as well I would say SAUA is at best a partially federal grant funded band-aid to check off the box on Natl P25 initiatives.

Thanks Michael, the more I listen to my scanner the more it seems that some of the "interoperability" capablities are limited by age old habits that people do not want to change.

Heard on TG 38286 this afternoon. Radio ID was 6011598 and 6011003. Traffic was for east side.

I could not find it in the database.

Tg 38286 is Ch. 1-N TRU GANG UNIT (patch)
