Yesterday, I close-called 154.400 at Newark Penn Station. However, there are no FCC licenses for that frequency in the area. Any ideas? Unfortunately, I did not get the PL (it happened too fast). The only thing I have in my peronal notes/DB is Queens FD (but it obviously wasn't them).

Hi.... That frequency is also assigned to Wall Township,NJ EMS/FD. Which is in Monmouth County just West of Eatontown,NJ. Their repeated and have a very good signal. Happy monitoring. God Bless & all the Best... 73's

As a resident of Wall - We are not west of Eatontown. We are south of Eatontown here in Wall Twp.

I'd put a vote in for queens. We actually hear Queens so loud it's sometimes 4 -5 bars down in Wall Twp..and it creates for interference with our FD/EMS dispatch channel (154.4000) in town.
Also, yes. Make sure it wasn't 155.400...REMCS is always going.
