Base antenna reception

I have a dis cone scanner antenna and lately it only seems to pick up frequencies: traffic to the North but nothing is any other direction. But it has in the passed any idea on the issue.

Discone antennas are not directional. There has to be another cause for the change. Possibly a new large reflecting structure in the area. Changes in the transmission tower location(s), or the antenna itself. Weather conditions? RF interference in your area, in your home?

Some antennas like discones fill up with moisture and that cuts down on reception in simple terms.
