Communication Specialists (Linked Capacity Plus) Trunking System, Various, Virginia - Scanner Frequencies

I think I'm getting the Fork Mountain site on 461.425 color code 7.
I've heard TG52.

But it seems the scanner isn't actually tracking it that well. Running DSD+ confirmed I was missing at least half the comms. Not much action tonight though, so I'll have to keep monitoring.

Running the LCN finder it said 461.425 is LCN1.
Other possible freqs for this site are 461.400,463.600, 463.650 and 463.800.

Added the other freqs and it said LCN 1 for 463.8.

Also possibly related to this system is 463.7375 color code 11 and shows as LCN2. Not sure which site this would be since the license affiliates it with Independent Hill which is already known to have 463.4125 for LCN2.

If you know the voice freqs and control channels for the system you are trying to listen to. If you got all that put the freqs in and make all LCN set at 0 than go to LCN analyzer and it should find the correct LCN for you.

The Fork Mountain site is actually a standalone Cap+ system, I believe. It is not part of the CommSpec Cap+ Multi Site system. (Fork Mountain shows site 1 in DSD+; Fredericksburg site also shows site 1.)

Fork Mountain uses RAS, and that, combined with the 436/536 still-lacking performance on Cap+, is why you're missing a lot of comms.

461.4250 is LCN 1. 463.8000 is a data-only frequency that is associated with the system (that's why it gives information about other system frequencies). 463.8000 carries no voice and does not need to be added to the scanner to track the system.

463.7375 is the data channel for the Independent Hill site, so like 463.8000, you can disregard it.

Talkgroup 52 on Fork Mountain does not carry the same comms as talkgroup 52 on the Cap+ Multi Site system. They are both Virginia Regional Transit, but for different services.

Here's the link to the CommSpec Fork Mountain site:

Has anyone figured out how to scan Comm Specialists in their 436 or 536?

I still am trying to educate myself on how the Cap + multi site system designates LCNs.

Some sites run 1 - ? freqs per site. If 1 site uses 2 freqs you'll need to know the color codes and site number and LCN. You can run DSDPlus and a dongle to get the info for each freq.
