Why is my scanner doing this? I have a gain antenna for the frequency range that I'm monitoring and I'm right in the middle of the city for the system. https://vimeo.com/173127134 I know I have all the frequencies in right

Turn your delay on if you want it to stay longer on each channel. Hold is system related.

sounds like

the old bad headphone jack.
try inserting a 3.5 plug a couple of times.
my 396T has done it for years and many times, especially after using the jack.
and the 396XT goes out about once a month.

If I was correctly understanding the video, it seems that the scanner is trying to ID the Control Channel for the TRS.

I might be wrong, but this might happen if there is an LSM issue that confuses the scanner; or if CECC temporarily changed control-channels on one or more of the towers. Maybe an otherwise-unknown control-channel has been added to the system, even if only temporarily. It might be early steps in their planned system-upgrade that should happen over the next couple of years.

Is the problem still happening, or has it cleared-up?

Hope this helps,

What is the generally recommended hold time? Right now it's set for 250 sec.
