Hello, I am building a Linux server running ClearOS (a CentOS and Red Hat derivative) and, among other things, want to use it to decode and record calls on a P25 trunking system. https://github.com/robotastic/trunk-recorder seems like it does what I want and uses GNU Radio. However, when I go to install GNU Radio, whether the older version that is available through YUM or by using PyBOMBS, it also wants to install a whole lot of other programs, including some GUI stuff. As this will be a server, it will not have a graphical desktop and I don't want unneeded stuff on it.
Is it possible to do a minimal install of GNU Radio with just the stuff needed to decode P25 audio using a RTL SDR and make Trunk Recorder work? Or is what I want not realistic? Thanks.
