I just purchased a Atas 120 antenna and I don't plan to do a permanent mount just yet and I was wondering will a tri magnet mount be suffice or should a I do a quad magnet mount for the antenna. I usually always drive the speed limit or less and very well know a low lying limb could knock it off if I am not careful. I plan on placing it on the roof of the vehicle until I get a permanent mount.
I don't plan on leaving the antenna on the vehicle all the time anyways when i do have a permanent mount. I don't do that much hf work just mainly when on long trips etc
Does anyone else use a magnet mount for the atas 120? and where is it mounted?
