2016 NAS Oceana Air Show

I know that I'm 2 months early on this topic but I'm interested in getting a roll call/discussion started for this years show.

Here are the particulars:
WHEN: September 10th-11th (sat and sun)
TIME: Gates open at 0800 and flying is scheduled to start at 1000

So what scanner(s) or radio(s) do you bring to the show to listen into the communications of the show and related efforts (VB FD, VB PD, VB EMS, etc.)?

One that tracks 380 mil trunking and 700-800mhz trunking, Most of the ops are on the Oceana ELMR DOD system with VB on the 800mhz of ORION, and of course one that does MILAIR

Pertaining to the ELMR system, looks like 212xxx RIDs have taken place of the 301xxx. Also two unknown TG's, 27059 and 27245. Also caught NNB Fire units using NWA Fire Dispatch ( 27335 ) for a call on NNB, NWA never came up on,the channel to advise they were on the wrong channel. Could they have renamed some channels?

There was a TG name "SPC EVT 1" that we were using on the 380 ELMR system, not sure if that's one of the "unknown" TG's or not. I can try to see about getting another radio this year and figure it out. Who knows maybe we will run into each other at the show?

From my understanding the ELMR system is about to undergo some changes on the Fire side. They are going to be switching over to one central dispatch channe lfor al lthe base from Philly to Northwest Annex.

Been noticing a hint of something like that, especially on NNB FD Dispatch, instead of Dispatch, the units say , Engine XX Mid-Atlantic

My father and I attended the air show at Langley and they would not let me bring my 436 inside. I wasn't going to argue with the gung-ho butter bar with the gun though.

Oceana Air Show gladly allows them in and is even on the list of allowed items into the show!! Havent heard the security ever really raise a question about it either.

Looks like 27335, which is the old Northwest Annex FD Dispatch, is now Fire Tac 10, I'm guessing for the Naval Base

Airshow

I actually have an older GRE PSR 400 which picks up mil-air. I to went to Langley and got a hard time about it but they let me take it in. But they also made me turn my camera on and prove it would take a picture and even went through my wallet and fanned my money ( friend who was with me left over it) so they were on about something.

T minus 2 days for the open to the public show. Im still keeping my ears open as to the TG used for the two command nets for higher up air show coordination and also the general air show coordination. If anyone has leads on some unknown TG's they've gotten hits on at NAS Oceana let me know and ill do some digging into them!

Also just as a reminder keep an ear on the 1st and 2nd Precint tac along with VB FIRE/EMS tac channel 8. I will also let you know what the FM station is that the announcing system will output on.

looks like Chesapeake dispatches Northwest Fire, heard a bunch of calls for Northwest Engine 35. They even have the districts, Northwest district 2
