I've listened extensively to 166.35, as listed in RR, and all I hear are volunteer rangers checking in and out for patrol hikes. Have searched between 166.00 and 167.00 but have not found and law enforcement traffic.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

You may want to broaden your search. Below are the standard Federal VHF assignments:

162.0500-166.4875 Mobile/repeater input
166.5000-169.5000 Unpaired single frequency systems
169.5125-173.2000 Base/repeater output
173.2100-173.3900 (Note: This is a non-federal band)
173.4000-173.9875 Base/repeater output

Thanks. I'll take some time to work through that list.
Once it cools off a little I'll park in front of the visitors center and see what I can find with Close Call.

Not all agencies follow the "official" bandplan, yet. You need to search the whole segment, 162.000-174.000, because you will find useage that doesn't coincide with the bandplan.
