Orange PD on VTAC3?

Was up north today in the Bergen and Essex County areas and heard what sounded like a police department on VTAC3 (158.7375) using P25. Was unable to get a NAC. Heard them reference an intersection which Google revealed exists in Orange. Heads up to anyone in the area.

What was the intersection?

Are you sure that you were'nt listening to 158.7300 which is P25 for Glen Rock and RIdgewood PDs?

That's very possible. It was Lincoln and Hillside.

That intersection exists in Glen Rock.

Ah, got it. It boomed through loud and clear on my PRO-668 on VTAC3. Surprising for that unit.

Where were you in Essex and was it with a handheld or mobile? I cant get GR from Montclair with a pretty good base setup. Thanks.

Are you sure you have the correct NAC code? I routinely receive "Central Dispatch" (Ridgewood & Glen Rock) on my handheld BC396XT inside my car with a rubber duckie antenna at Verona Lake Park, the West Orange Armory, and at St. Barnabas in Livingston.

Yup, programmed as per the DB; 158.730 $765. Funny thing is, I have a moto GM300 split from the same feedline and hear P25 traffic loud and clear on that radio on 158.730 in CSQ. Also, SPEN, and FD dispatch and ops are crystal clear from Central dispatch.

I have it working, was holding on the analog entry. :-(

Great. I was about to suggest checking your programming to make sure you didn't have the analog option checked instead of the digital option on the drop down menu.
