NY Radio VOLMET

Been trying to hear New York Radio VOLMET on 10051 all afternoon but nothing. Haven't tried listening in a while, but they usually come in s5 to s9 here. Have tried 2 receivers and 4 different antennas... nothing.
Are they still on the air? btw, can hear WWV 10000 loud and clear.

It would help if we knew where you were. Propagation is all over the place at the moment.

Did you check their other (higher) freqs? Maybe they're having transmitter issues or power issues due to the heat?

When I listened to these stations I kept a file with all of their freqs handy, so I could easily check them if I didn't hear them at a particular time.

A couple days ago i was getting them on 6604, but not 10051. Right this second not on either freq, but i'm got getting Gander either so i'm guessing propagation issue. I'm close in Boston area.

Hearing Gander Radio on 3485, 6604, 10051 but no New York Radio. When it comes time for New York to pick it up, just static.

Hearing both Gander and New York Radio now. Better copy on Gander than New York. New York very weak on 10051, better on 3485 and 6604.

Is New York VOLMET currently on the air? All that I can hear on those frequencies is Gander.

DXinfocentre web site shows it out of service until June 1.

Come to think of it, haven't heard NY Radio on 3.485 megs in quite a while, thanks for the info.

Hmmm, wonder what the problem is at NY Radio. OTOH, Gander never seems to have a problem.
