Sorry if this has already been mentioned but I have recently been receiving an unknown TG which I belive is TG 2838. It is encrypted has been very active in the evening. I believe this is a Law TG and is being used by the LCSO or by Federal Law Enforcement. I agree with reasonable encryption but I am still curious if anyone know who the TG belongs to.

Thanks in advance

Correction, the TG is 2837

Correct, Ive heard it and it is encrypted indeed. It shows when you have search ID on I think. In my case, I turned it off as encrypted transmissions bother me ;)

More mystery talkgroups... since I picked up a NooElec RTL2832 SDR last week, I've left UniTrunker running for the past several days and have slowly watched the talkgroup count rise (and the radio count too, over 1200 radios have logged into the system since I started watching it!)

Today certainly brought the largest number of unknown talkgroups, including a few outside of the previously known range. Unfortunately, the hit count isn't necessarily voice transmissions... it can also include radios joining that TG. Where there have been voice transmissions, I've indicated whether they were encrypted or not.

2834 - likely LCSO, encrypted
2836 - likely LCSO, likely encrypted but no voice transmissions observed yet
2854 - likely Leesburg PD, encrypted
2862 - maybe another Mutual Aid TG?
2883 - Right in the middle of the LCFR talkgroups
2898 - 1 join... just appeared while writing this post!

2953 - 1 hit last night, no voice traffic seen yet
2954 - first seen last night, 4 hits, not encrypted
2957 - 1 hit today, just before 10:00a
2958 - 1 hit today, also just before 10:00a

4000 - 30 hits today... encrypted
4001 - 4 hits today... also encrypted

29## talkgroups have been FDMA 6A channels and DTMF tones during dispatches.

What radio IDs have you logged on the 29## and 4### channels?

UniTrunker is a sweet tool

Some of its UI leaves things to be desired (especially in mouse scrolling)... but as far as its capabilities, yes, it's definitely sweet. With the SDR dongle, it's pretty amazing to just be able to put it on a control channel and let it sit there and crunch the data.

2951 (appeared not quite an hour ago now) shows 3263901... this is the only TG I show this radio ID on...
2954 shows 3240760 (which looks like an LCFR unit as it also has a call on 2873 (LCFR 6B))...
The others in this area don't show any radio IDs.

On 4000, I see 3251600, 3262505, 3262506... these radio IDs I show as last on this TG
On 4001, I see just 3251600.

3262505 also joined 2801 (LCSO Sterling) and 2872 (LCFR 6A), but the only TG with calls is 4000.

Jail and work releases units are who is using 4000 and 4001.
3240760 is Ambulance 625A.

Another channel people likely haven't seen and it's not in the DB, is 2947. It's used by LCSO motor units.

Do you have motor units programmed? Share?

Hearing 2865 for the first time. Two LCSO units BSing about various calls getting dispatched. Sounds like they're going to be keeping an eye on a bunch of teens this evening. Seems to be a channel for the 'Romeo' ie SERT/SWAT units.
