I believe I have some Princeton Operations on DMR. Seems to be a mixed bag and somewhat limited comm's.

158.745 CC13 TG1 SL1.

I have heard Deputy Chief's sign on....parking problems South Harrison and Sycamore and quite a bit of BLS signing on ID'ing as "681". I think 681 is a Med-Central unit it.

All the units call the dispatcher as "900".

I can't find a FCC license with emission designator. My guess is that the box is on Fine Hall building. It has a real strong signal.

I am holding off on DB submission pending some more feedback from the group. Anyone?

Princeton EMS's Mercer County squad ID # is 168, so maybe you're hearing 168-1 which would be one of their ambulances.

I do believe you have found a piece of the puzzle, as the RID's I have seen are 1681 1682. So then who is "900". This is what the dispatcher ID's as. It is also the RID.

Nice catch.

"900" is the local dispatcher, from back when the borough was KEI901 ("901") on 158.805 so the township called themselves 900. When the two governments consolidated they used the former township dispatch center and some of the associated nomenclature.

Correct, 168-# is often shortened to 68-#.

Odd that the license references the hospital, it was always a completely separate enterprise (and the institution still exists, just at a new campus in Plainsboro). 158.745R/127.3 used to be the township's DPW, I have hits on that from just a few months ago.

Princeton EMS just recently switched to the TRBO system. 168 is their county number and their apparatus are 168-1,2,3,4 for their ambulances, then they just use Rescue 168, Chief 168, Deputy 168 ect for their officers.

The 900 thing comes from the last 3 digits of their FCC ID. West Windsor is 271 for example.

Princeton Fire is on the Mercer Central system
