I have a atom based linux box running nothing but darkice. Set it up long before I ever played with the Pi solution and it has been a rock solid little setup. I'd say I have 99% uptime.
Last week it started just randomly dying on me. And by randomly dying I mean the darkice process was still running but the feed just went offline without explanation. Repeatedly.
So I ran darkice in console mode with -v=10 and over the course of a few days I do see buffer overruns but never any indication of why the node would drop. Sometimes when it breaks I'm struggling to get darkice to reconnect (yet it think its fine?)
