Here is what I did in this particular case.
Go to the GMR main page
FCC General Menu Reports 3.1.14 October 7, 2010
Click on
Site / Market / Frequency
Service Selection:
Specific Services Only
Check
Land Mobile - Commercial and
Land Mobile - Private (We don't care about other service groups and it takes longer to search. You could narrow it down to specific radio services if you know them.)
State:
MD
Frequency: Begin:
935.0125 End:
939.9875 (upper and lower limits of 900 MHz LMR band base frequencies)
Location Specification: blank (not used)
Licensee Name: whatever their name is as it appears on the license(s)
Wildcard Search:
Checked (unless the licensee name is the same on all licenses and you spelled it the way it appears on the licenses)
Grant Date and Expiration Date: blank (we want all active licenses and don't care when they were issued or expire)
Query Options:
Sort Results:
Callsign (searching for only one licensee and already know the name)
Limit Results to:
Currently Licensed Facilities and Pending Facilities (don't care about expired or cancelled licenses/apps)
This should return all active/pending licenses in the selected state. You could also narrow it down to county or lat/lon/radius.
Sometimes you can't find market area licenses this way. To find them see the instructions at:
http://wiki.radioreference.com/inde...xxxx.29_in_the_FCC_database_and_found_nothing
The wiki article is for Part 22 VHV/UHF paging licenses but you search for geographical market area licenses in other bands and radio services in the same way.
