Sounds like CNF finally cut over to their new frequency pair for their Forest Net. Been hearing them loud and

clear in OC from the Santiago repeater the last couple of days, but haven't heard any traffic on the old Forest

net pair. I heard Comms units still testing the new pair over the last weekend, so they may have fully cutover

on the 1st of the month.

Cleveland LE Frequency?

It looks as if Angeles and Cleveland have migrated all the usual channels to the new frequencies but the listing for the channel of 168.025 does not seem to be active.

My last notes show

RX 168.025 NAC 40B
TX 164.625 NAC 68F

Some other discussions mention a LE frequency of 171.7875 for other areas of California.

Has anyone heard recent traffic on either 168.025 or 171.7875 ?

USFS Law Net R5 is P25 Digital on 171.7875 with a NAC of 40B.

I hear minimal traffic each day on this frequency. But it is Law Net for Cleveland

I just heard in digital mode "Cleveland this is King 5 on LE tone 2". Cleveland acknowledged.

Looks as if there are three LE repeaters on the 171.7875/162.9625 pair according to a phone call I received today. All repeaters have a 2 tone hi/lo beep sequence after input is unkeyed. That is interesting as the USCG/AUX VHF repeater on Santiago also has similar tones.

146.2 / 5B6 Table Mountain (?)

135.5 / 555 Frost Peak (?)

123.0 / 4CE Santiago Peak seems correct based on what I just heard.

All are sending either 103.5 for analog or NAC 40B for digital on the repeater output.

today I've heard King 5 a couple of times on the new LE frequency so I've gone ahead and updated all of my radios with the new frequency

I just heard some weak signal voice traffic on the Region 5 Project Net frequency, 168.665 MHz but am unsure of where they were.

Just heard King 5 on the P25 LE channel 171.7875/162.9625 and he announced "Tone 2" so that is Santiago with a NAC of 4CE. Am hoping to hear him check in through other repeaters and announce the tone selected.

Some interesting traffic on the LE digital channel has been coming in over the last hour. They did confirm that one available "tone" is #5 which would be NAC 5B6. Good copy here for that repeater

Callsigns heard:

2King5
2Charles1
2Edward6
2Edward11 (female)

I have gathered enough information to update a previous post of mine. I never would have thought I had good paths from my house to Cuyamaca and Palomar/High Point but it seems with the right propagation it can be a very good path. About 70 miles to High point and 90 to Cuyamaca from my place. I tested with some friends and had good VHF radio comms to both sites. That seems to verify that I have heard CNF-LE comms coming from those sites on 171.7875

Tone 5 is 146.2 NAC 5B6 Cuyamaca Peak

Tone 6 is 136.5 NAC 555 High Point (Palomar)

Does anyone have an outline of the staffing and call sign for the CNF-LE team?

Was hearing LE Tone 2 today with one of those units going to Blue Jay Camp

Sorry for the late question. Did you hear them in analog or digital mode? Digital mode has a two-tone beep after the transmitting party un-keys
