HP 1 HP 2 no sound

Bought the HP 1 about 5 years ago. About 1 year ago it would not receive any "SOUND" at all ,even on the weather channels.

About 3 months ago I bought the HP 2 ,and all of the sudden there is no sound at all, even on the weather channels.

Any one else have had this problem?

I suppose I should send to back Uniden for repair---about $200.00 ;-(

Anyone have any suggestions?

The HP2 should be under warranty . Have you plugged in an external speaker or headphones to see if either one is passing sound

Yes ,I have, still no sound.

Had you used the headphone jack at all on either radio before you lost the sound?

Sent to Uniden repair today. It is under warranty. $17.00 shipping and insurance.
