Mahwah PD has been operating on 460.4625 CTCSS 151.4 (Mahwah OEM) for the past few days. Anyone know why they've moved off of 460.200?

The article seems to suggest that Mahwah is moving all departments to digital.
It also mentions the installation of a central processing unit or CPU.
Possibly a trunked system?

Sounds about right. They have a base installed to talk to Ramsey on Ramseys P25, as does Saddle River.I'm told that they're just upgrading to P25 just like Ramsey did.

Could they possibly be moving to the NJICS?
No, both said no. Oakland did test months ago.Is Oakland and/or Franklin Lakes being dispatched by the County now?
I'd have to disagree. I haven't seen a user of the Bergen County TRS that isn't dispatched by the County 911 center. And Mahwah won't give up their dispatch. And the County I'm told offered to provide the service for FREE !

That happened at Ridgefield. When they signed over to the county for dispatching, the county absorbed their telecommunicators. I'm not sure if that was some or all.I don't know about Lodi but I will say when agencies switch over to a County dispatch center I've routinely seen some of that agency's dispatchers go over to County as well as part of the agreement. Remember CENCOM....I hear some of those voices over at Union County now.
