As a Canadian staying down just east of Lake Wales (Florida), i have been able to hear some great chatter..... during the day I listened to "Blade" units believed to be F-18's from SC and "Mako" and "Shark" (Homestead?) flights doing ground attack training. The best grab I received that lasted over an hour was in the eve after dark, we heard the booms coming from Avon but no jets flying? One of the other campers noticed a circling slow mover at which time we saw flashes coming from it, found it using a search of Mil air band and it turned out to be "Spooky45" a C-130 gunship. It was receiving fire missions from "Lightning22" which I was unable to hear. Comms were 264.625 for fighters during day and the Spooky flight was heard on 233.500.
It was a thrill to see and hear Spooky in action..... now back to the Canadian snow :-(
