The radios that can read tones in my shack are a bit hard to get to, so no tones/ DPL/ etc. On most FS traffic I prefer not to run ct/dpl unless I am getting intermod. Also, the frequency may be used "direct". I just got a bc125 for walks, displays tones nicely, and on one walk I do have line of sight with Frying Pan, so I will be on the lookout for some more info. Augusta (VA) Hotshots hiked in this afternoon to the Cold Mt. fire. I think another Type 1 Crew is there too.
