Anybody know what this sound is?

Receiving on UHF.

Not 100% sure but I think it is handheld business radios.

Simplex DMR, using only one time slot. Time to upgrade your scanner if you want to hear the actual voice.

Thanks for the info. I trolled around for some sound samples but came up empty. May look into it but not likely worth it for one small user, lol.

When you encounter a digital signal you don't recognize you can go here:

Digital Modes Samples

And listen to the clips and see if you can identify it. Each clip has a short explanation of what that particular type of signal is for.
