Years ago, I saw a black ABS plastic angled NMO Mount on the rear quarter panel of a Crown Vic. It allowed the base of the antenna to be "Level". You could twist the two part base to adjust to any angle. I am pretty sure the bottom side of it was a SO239 connector with a nut to tighten it up on the inside of the vehicle. I have searched a good bit online to no avail. Does anyone know where to point me to find one? Thanks in advance for any input.

Thank you for the fast reply. I saw that one. But the one I am trying to find is a much cleaner finished look. Almost looks like the base of the antenna (when screwed on) is part of the angled base/mount.

I've seen those used. They look like good "problem solvers".

Only drawback is you are giving up ground plane. Even with a ground independent antenna design, like a half wave, they'll still have a funky radiation pattern. Probably not a big deal, but something to consider.

I actually like those sorts of mounts compared to the "L" brackets that so many people use. At least the coax is protected.
