2016 F150 Unication G5 dash mount

Picked up this little magnetic mount from NatoMounts for my G5. Hold it nice and firm, no movement. Low profile mount, sticks to dash with 3M VHT double sided tape to the dash, and it comes with a square and circular metal "plate" for your devices. Well worth the 20 bucks it cost, and it's a no holes mounting solution. Sorry about the picture orientation, uploaded them via my iPhone and it rotated them for some reason...

Is that a Moto 800mhz stubby antenna?

You need to turn your truck right side up next time you take photos....

Yes, it is.

Does the Unication perform well inside the truck using the portable antenna? I have a BCD325P2 and it performed terribly with an attached portable antenna when mobile in my F150. I upgraded to a glass-mount all-band antenna, then to a 700/800 antenna mounted on my front fender and that helped a lot.

I know the Unications perform better in general, just curious if my scanner was the fault or if it was the "metal cage" the scanner was riding around in. Probably a combination of both.

Seems to work just fine. I haven't noticed any issues with it being inside the truck versus outside.

Those NatoMounts are AWESOME. I bought 5 of them recently for various things in the house and the car.
