Just got a 900 radio and was wondering if anybody had any info as far as what I can listen to here in SoCal? I heard that SoCal Gas and some other utilities might be 900. Does anybody have a decent list of stuff? Thanks in advance.

Most everything in SoCal on 900MHz is trunked, very little of it is conventional.

Trunked:
LA Metro Transit
LA Department of Water & Power
SoCal Edison
SDG&E
Disneyland (fully encrypted)

Some conventional stuff:
Some School Districts (Transportation)
LegoLand in San Diego
Various Amateur Radio sysems.

As usual I am not an advocate for unauthorized radios on trunked systems. Compared to VHF and UHF, 900MHz is fairly boring.

I probably should have specified that I am looking for conventional frequencies. Not looking to mess around with any trunked systems. Thank you.

Have you checked the database? I don't believe there is much conventional stuff, as 900 has traditionally been a trunked segment as far as I have ever seen. Especially up here in Northern California.

I have checked. I am curious if anybody has additional info. There are a couple freqs listed for companies like SoCal Gas, but Im almost positive that there are more freqs that aren't listed. Thanks.

Also some business users like United Airlines and FedEx at LAX are on 900Mhz.

900Mhz band is nowhere as much utilized in LA basin as 800Mhz have been,

I think he's looking for conventional stuff, I don't think there's much of that.
