I cannot get my new TRX-2 scanner to decode Motorola, NXDN4800, and P25.

It does decode EDACS, CON+, and conventional.

I have spent hours (days) trying to get it working but am at my wits end.

Have many other scanners but just cannot get this one going.

Am I missing something simple?

Have spent most of my time with Bell Fleetnet but have never heard a peep (while listening to same system and hearing everything with my HP-1 on same antenna)

Help appreciated, Ralph VE3EUK

First, thanks for helping.

From ontario, waterloo county:
Uploaded but will not work, GOTRBO (DMR), ONQUE (NXDN), & Metrolinx P25 PI and P!!

Funny thing since we last chatted. I got Bell Fleetnet working. I finally dug real deep and found on Trunk Radio page, site details, click on Bell Fleetnet, Cedarwoods (my location), site options, custom trunking tables, custom, and I had to enter the trunk table as in Radio Reference.

So this proves one thing, you cant just download from RR and expect it to work.

Still looking at same ideas with the rest that do not work but so far nothing.

I've imported from the RRDB many systems and on many different radios without any issues. If you think something is wrong on the RRDB, submit the correction.

Yes I agree. I have submitted hundreds of frequenciews too but I want to be perfectly correct before I suggest any changes.

I'll keep working on it and thanks again.

TRX-2 Wont Decode

I too live in the Waterloo area and have a TRX-2. I receive the following systems with no problems whatsoever :

.. Bell Fleetnet .. OPP
.. DMR-Marc
.. FleetConnect
.. GOTRBO Network
.. Kitchener
.. Mertrolinx .. Go Transit
.. OnQue
.. Waterloo Region

All systems were imported into EzScan directly from the RR database. My TRX-1 receives these systems as well.

Gentlemen I seem to have corrected my problem.

I downloaded Fleetnet from the library and it did not work.

After much digging I found that the band plan was incorrect. I edited it as per Radio Reference and it now works.

With the HP-1 it works out of the box but Whistler does not seem to bring the correct band plan over with a download. A bit of a PITA but now I know enough to look.

Thanks to everyone. Your help and comments are appreciated.
