I was killing some time searching out TSA and came across a strong CC there. Any ideas? Didn't have time to capture anything on other channels or a sys id.

I can only guess the PANG.

If you mean Pittsburgh (KPIT) then I believe the Air National Guard has a new trunked system at the airport

TSA is P25 on that frequency at many airports. No trunking.

Dave, 172.9000 Yes, but not 172.0000

And as a reminder to folks the TSA has change NAC's at each airport.
$001 is No Longer the default ;)

Oops, yes, my bad. .9 is correct for TSA.

172.000 is generally listed as FAA. AFAIK, there is no trunking on the 169-172 MHz FAA/TSA channels.

I'm out near the airport and don't see any control channels around 172. Perhaps you heard a long P25 transmission or the long tail of a P25 repeater and mistook it as a CC.
