I'm looking to shop for a scanner but live in an area where the EMA uses Phase I. I also go to school in a Phase II- TDMA capable zone.

Are there any Scanners that work on both types?

Thanks.

Yes. All scanners that handles Phase 2 will be able to monitor Phase 1 systems.

Phase 2 is the "new" P25 standard any radio that will decode phase will decide the legacy phase 1 traffic as well if the system has gone TDMA.

I got a Uniden BCD325P2. It works great in Anderson County, SC. They have a P25 Phase II system. I'm going to try it on Dauphin County on their P25 Phase I system, which is home for me.
